Cavaliers sign 2009 first rounder Eyenga

Per team policy, no details of the deal were announced.

The 21-year-old Eyenga was the Cavs' first-round choice and the 30th overall pick of the 2009 draft.

He averaged 3.9 points and 2.0 rebounds in 29 games for DKV Joventut Badalona in the Spanish League. Eyenga also averaged 3.4 points in 11 EuroCup games.

"We're looking forward to having Christian continue his development on the court here with coach [Byron] Scott and our team," said general manager Chris Grant. "He has worked hard and we were very encouraged by his recent performance in summer league."

The native of the Congo posted 11.4 points and 4.2 rebounds in five summer league games.
